Below-Grade Waterproofing
Below-grade waterproofing applies material below ground level to prevent water intrusion into the structure. For existing buildings and parking garages, this often requires excavating the earth around the application area.

Coatings

Drainage Systems
It’s important to consider below-grade water control as a system solution and not a single component. While below-grade waterproofing prevents water intrusion, a proper drainage system is critical to ensure water is redirected away from your building’s foundation.
When the soil around a building is saturated with water, this places intense hydroelastic pressure against the foundation, allowing moisture to push through cracks and pores in the concrete walls and up through the floor slab. Hot Rubberized Asphalt
Hot rubberized asphalt is a monolithic waterproofing membrane system ideal for large surface areas, such as plaza and outdoor amenity spaces, parking decks, tunnels, and bridge decks. Because the fluid-applied membrane is seamless, it drastically reduces the risk of leaks and provides an aesthetically pleasing finish.
Injection Grouting
Epoxy and urethane grouting injections create a flexible seal in areas where masonry has cracked and is vulnerable to further damage from water and the elements. Injection grouting is an effective solution when there’s a crack or leak, but replacing the damaged area isn’t feasible, such as a basement wall or in the foundation. By injecting epoxy or urethane into the structure from the inside, water is prevented from penetrating on the outside.
In years past, epoxy would have been used exclusively as the crack sealant, but in recent years, urethane has become more popular, because of the advantages it provides. Urethane injections have grown to be more popular in recent years because the material is much less rigid than epoxy. Instead of cracking when there is foundation movement, the urethane simply moves with the building, maintaining full contact with the concrete.
