Waterproofing | Through Wall Flashing
TransPotomac Plaza V is a 10-story, 108,128-square-foot office building located on the banks of the Potomac River in amenity-rich Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Constructed in 1983, TransPotomac Plaza V offers highly efficient office, retail, and storage space with underground parking. With an efficient floor design offering excellent window line and balconied suites, TransPotomac Plaza V offers panoramic views of the Potomac River, the Capitol, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
While offering stunning views and copious amenities, unfortunately the building was plagued with window head leaks since its initial construction. Using mast climbers to access the façade Ev-Air-Tight, Shoemaker removed 12 courses of brick above all the windows and installed through wall flashing and reinstalled the brick to create a leak free building for tenants and visitors to enjoy.
